Marcu Stelian

My name is Marcu Stelian, I'm born on January 20th, 1952, I live in Fagaras, Romania and I'm passionate about microscopic painting.

I began by oil painting in my childhood and when I was 16 I made my first miniatural painting using a simple magnifying glass and a horse's hair. Many years later I resumed micropainting using a microscope and eyelashes hair (because it is naturally sharpened) or parrot's feathers.

"The man with thick lenses eyeglasses" is how an artist called Marcu Stelian, after seeing the USA Independence Declaration written on 9 x 9mm support. Being proposed for the Guiness Book of Records, Marcu Stelian was a guest for many TV shows and a subject for many magasines' and newspapers' articles.
